Who IS Pastor MAtt?

Edward Matthew Buford II, affectionately referred to as “Pastor Matt”, is the youth pastor at SonRise Church Houston. He is also the owner of Kreative Media Group, a little league football coach, a community activist, and a single father of seven children. Pastor Matt has given his life in service to his church and community as far back as he can remember.  Starting in the church as a musician (drummer), to now as an Executive / Youth Pastor of SonRise Church Houston. At any given moment you can find him helping out, first hand, the same community of misfortune that he was once a part of. Through divine intervention, he has focused and honed his God-given talents into God’s purpose. Pastor Matt is always ready and willing to teach and preach. He welcomes underprivileged youth and young adults to learn a new trade as he works side by side with him in his film company. He is there to run down the sidelines coaching little league football for kids who may not have the opportunity otherwise. He even puts himself front and center to protest for the same things that he was taught as a child, which is to love one another as Jesus did. Pastor Matt is leading the way for many who have lost their way, with the ever-present motto, JESUS SAVES. He truly believes that no soul is beyond redemption and saving.
